Lots of Mexican and Spanish names make cute dog names, or the best tough-guy pooch nicknames. While Hispanic names are perfect for Chihuahua puppies, Chilean Terriers, Argentine Dogos, and Peruvian Hairless Dogs, these monikers are also very cool for any breed of dog or mixed-up mutt.

Be sure to check with friends to make sure that a Spanish nickname is not wrong or embarrassing in one's part of the country. Don't want the little guy to be a joke.
