great article. Dan and I always seem to go for the shy dogs (except our Alpha, Frodo). We have had great success giving our shy girls huge doses of self esteem. And then they become happy go lucky babies....but of course they always maintain a sweet beta/gamma personality.

It's the same way with me (although my German Shepherd was literally afraid of nothing). But for the most part, I'm attracted to the shy ones who need to be brought out of their shell. Some of them can take quite a while but it's so worth it to watch them blossom!
