My family recently adopted a dog from a local shelter. He is presumed to be about 8-9 months old and in good health. He is solid black with brownish eyes and weighs about 70 pounds. He is very friendly and gets along well with my other dog and my cat. The people at the local shelter told us they thought he was part lab and part Newfoundland, but we are not sure. He has long fur that does not shed and a very full tail. Could someone please help me identify what he might be and perhaps estimate how large he might become.
