I took a look at your photos and what a total cutie!!! She looks to be a spunky little girl too!

I can't really tell what kind of dog she is but if I had to guess I'd say a cross between a terrier like a Jack Russell and a Peke because of her short legs and short muzzle.

I'm sure in a few weeks if you share her photos again we may be able to tell better.

She's really cute!!!

Hi Kim,
I'm a first time poster and came across this topic. Would it be possible to email a couple pics of my 4 month old pup to see if you could guess what he's mixed with? He has the webbed feet, like a lab, but has longer and softer fur.

He's aprox. 4 months old and weighs around 30 lbs. We're not sure how big he'll get. He does have some black hair mixed in along his back and tail, but he's mostly light or golden in color. Any information or help would be great. Thanks,

Let me say first how glad I am that you found her and she has found a forever home. Really upsets me when people think that animals are so disposable.

That aside I took a look at her photo and I'm a bit stumped -probably due to the angle of the photo. I keep thinking poodle/lab mix but I hope some of the other readers will jump in and give their opinion also. She sure is cute. From what I could see of her paws and front she may be a large dog but it's hard to know sometimes just from photos. Have you had her to a vet and asked yet?

I recently rescued a pup. She's 4 months old now, red in color with a small patch of white on her chest and tips of feet, and has short hair. I'm trying to figure out what kind of hound she is to aid in training. Any ideas? Most people are telling me she's a redbone coonhound but my opinion she looks like an African Lion Hound. The research I have done proves that both breeds are about the same in everyway. So, I'm having a hard time. Hello. First time poster here. We just got us a puppy from a shelter and have been trying to identify her breed or mix. Hopefully someone can give us an idea. The people at the shelter say shes a Rottweiler mix. Someone else suggested a lab mix of some kind. Maybe some german shepherd? Heres a few pics of her...

She's about 6 weeks of age I'm guessing. The shelter had just recieved her and didnt have much info on her. Thanx for any help! =)

Hi,
I'm going to lean more to the Rhodesian Ridgeback or African Lionhound as you stated. She's really cute. I'm not seeing the coonhound but I could be wrong of course. Hope this helps.
