Hi Katabell,

Oh she is too cute! I love the second one with her on the steps. She looks definitely like she has some German Shepard in her to me and maybe American Staffordshire (a pitbull). How much does she weigh now?

She is growing really fast. I am not sure of her weight, but I have another foundling who weighs about 27lbs. She is almost half his weight already. I will weigh her this evening.

She is a nipper, though not a barker. She likes to lay in my lap, and walks between whoever is petting her and starts to pet our other dog. I beleive dogs act how they are raised, but some traits should be taken into account during training. I know nothing of pitbulls except the media fear tactics. Should I be worried about her being naturally agressive?

Hi Katabell,
I agree, a dog is as good as the human who raises him or her. I really hate the bad rap pitbulls have gotten and how much the media plays on this and people's fears. Truthfully all dogs can bite and a Chihuahua can be as vicious as a Rottweiler, it is all up to the owner as this is a human problem, not a dog problem.

I wrote a blog post here on Suite, on Responsible Dog Ownership, I hope you'll read this and then you decide:
http://dogs.suite101.com/blogs.cfm#respo...

I don't think you have anything to worry about if you're training your dog and teach her what you expect so she can be a good canine citizen. It's up to us humans to teach our dogs, the ones you see on the news have either been chained, abused or used in fighting rings or all of the above. Anyone or any dog could be vicious in that situation. Just my take on things.

Have a tail waggin' day!

I did try to weight her last night holding her. I believe she is about 13lbs. How big should I expect her to get?

Thanks for all the help.

Hi Katabell,
I can only guess not being able to see her in person but 40 - 60 lbs, depending on how big her parents were, etc.

It's great you're so concerned about doing the right thing by her. She is absolutely a cutie though!

Have a tail waggin' day!

Kim, where do you think she gets all the loose skin around her face and neck.

Hi Kat,

She's just too cute. I always do the "awww" thing when I see her! My dog is a Neapolitan icecream...just kidding he's a Neo Mastiff and he has a lot of loose skin around his neck. Some other breeds that do are Sharpeis, various Mastiff breeds, Bloodhounds, and some bully breeds. She doesn't look like she'll be too huge Kat, but at least a medium sized dog. Send me a new photo soon so we can see how she's grown.

Have a tail waggin' day!

Couldn't resist this sweet pic. You can see the skin just pooling around her neck. At 4 months I believe she is going to outgrow Indi.(on the pillow)

They sure do grow fast and she looks like her life is really tough, lol! I can't wait to share her on Bark 'N' Blog Kat. I really love animal photos, I think I should've gone into photographing them because I really love the photos. The cool thing is now I can get into video of them!!

Thanks for sharing your dogs with us and have a tail waggin' day!

Oh, yeah. She has it good. Someone said to me, "Where is her pillow?". We have another pillow, but believe me, if she wanted a pillow she would stand there and bark at Indi until he gave up his. She is a demanding pup and he indulges her.
