Joy Butler
- new dog to home
It's best if they meet on neutral territory for the first time or two. Keep them both on a loose leash and allow them to sniff each other briefly. Then take them walking together, praising them. Puppies sometimes tend to be too playful and can aggravate an older dog. It's ok if the older dog growls to warn the puppy he is being obnoxious but don't allow things to get too rough. Don't leave them alone together until the puppy is older and they are very comfortable with each other.
