That's interesting that Border Terrier made the list in the UK. I have a half BT and no one I've met has heard of that breed, here in the US. happy

ps - what happened to the chihuahua? it used to be on the US list, did it not?

It IS interesting about the Border Terrier. Also the Westhighland White too. You don't see many of them here. About your Chihuahua question, I did find info for 2004 (AKC) and they are in tenth place.

Well yup, thanks for checking. I see the Chis did drop off the list recently. There was a surge during those Taco Bell ad days. happy

I'm not surprised about the Westies though. They make such nice, even tempered companions.

The best dog I've ever had (wish she was still alive!sad ) was half Yellow Lab and half Golden Retriever. I can't brag enough on how wonderful she was with our family - especially our kids. After she died we adopted a female Chocolate Lab - she's only two years old and is quite active, but she's turning into a great family dog as well!

Awww, I'm sorry for your loss. sad I know Labs are wonderful dogs, so intelligent, and I can tell your girl was very special. The chocolate Lab can never replace her but it's so nice that you can love her too, just for herself. Thanks for stopping by my topic.
