» desertblue - light massage

I try to lightly massage my dogs each day. They really love it, just like they love being brushed, leaning into it and becoming almost drunk with pleasure.

It would be fun to take an actual course in doggy massage. And of course, it would be nice if they could massage ME! I have taught Frodo to walk on my back, which is a start! happy

I enjoyed your article on doggy massage ... it's true, we all need touch to survive. I don't have a dog, but my cats rub up against me and I always respond in kind.

Hi Sylvia. I'm glad you enjoyed the article. It was one of your articles that gave me the idea! I'm sure cats would enjoy a good massage too, though it would probably be with different techniques.

I agree, it would be fun to take a doggy massage course, maybe even become certified. But I don't care if Carly is certified or not, she does a pretty good "stomp" on my back too, if I give her the chance. happy

Hi Joy. I am a licensed people massage therapist (among my many skills) and my wife is a licensed dog groomer. Between the two of us, our pets have it good! happy

Anyway, I wrote about washing dogs when traveling, in the hotel bathrooms, and I linked to your massage article. I figure once giving your dog a nice bath, a good rub down is the next logical step.

Wow, your dogs are living well! And Jill has it made too, to have her own live-in massage therapist!

Thanks for the link! I'll go have a look at the article.
