» meloniesaunt - My new lab/setter puppy

Is there any genetic diseases that would cause my dog to be extremely skinny no matter what I feed her? She is very weak we rescued her and the vet said she had a broken hip but her front legs seem to be weaker than her back ones.I can't afford to keep taking her to the vet but I do love her and would like to help her. Thanks for any help!

Thank you for rescuing this dog. I'm sorry she's is not doing well. There are any number of things that could cause her to be thin and weak. The only advice I can offer is to seek out a veterinarian/low cost clinic at a shelter in your area. The shelter where I work offers a couple of days a week in clinic (we have our own veterinarian) and the cost is much lower than a regular veterinarian's office.
You may also try posting your question in the Pet Care topic. Charla works for a veterinarian and may have some advice to offer. Here's the link there.

P.S. Actually, I went ahead and posted there for you.
