i have had my dog since she was 2 months old and i still cant figure out what she is.she is 7 years old now almost. i got her at the pound at at an indian reservation in the middle of the desert in arizona(if that matters). they said shar pei/pit bull. i can kind of see pit pull in her when she gets upset if someone is knocking at the door but i know she is something else also. she is very well mannered, never has bit or nipped anyone,very loyal and protective and attached to me more than anyone. she has a really pretty shiny redish blonde coat with some black and brown and a curled up tail.no black on her tongue.black nose and around her eyes and lips please help me!!!!! i need to know what my dog is!!!shes my baby! there are pictures on photobucket http://s241.photobucket.com/albums/ff234...

i added a few more pics. i looked up ridgebacks and she might have it, a few people have said that. i just dont see why such an exotic dog would be in the middle of the desert in such a small town with maybe 1,000 people or less that is mostly trailers? i put a pic on there just cuz i though it was cute. its picture #14..she crosses her legs when she lays down :-)

Hi roxychic. Thanks for your interest in the Dogs topic and for posting in the discussions. Ridgeback is not a bad guess but your dog's face in pictures 4,5,and 6 looks like Bulldog to me. However in picture 7, her body structure looks a little like Malinois. She's being prim and proper with her legs crossed...lol One of my little terriers does that same thing.

her head seems small for a bulldog and she is skinny..well right now she has some weight on her. i guess ill have to look at some pics im not too familar with bulldogs though so ill give it a look! idont know what the other breed is either so i will look up that too! thank you!!!! i am on my way to take her for a walk right now!shes gettin impatient! also, she is a very fast runner and puts one leg up and points her body kinda whne she sees a bird and creeps up to it

she has the underbite of a bulldog but not as many wrinkles. her face is really small actually for her body. i agree her body does look like a malinois but i have no idea where she got that funny tail from we call her a scorpion. can dogs breed with coyotes? sometimes she looks like one and where she is from they are EVERYWHERE. just curious? she could have more than 2 or 3 breeds mixed in her

Oh yes, she could very well have many breeds in her heritage and to the best of my knowledge, dogs can breed with coyotes.

Ya know...the more I look at those pictures, the more I wonder if maybe she might have greyhound in her? A greyhound/bulldog mix seems a little unlikely but she does kinda look like it.

I got my dog from the SPCA. They told me she was a lab/shepard mix (not!) I'm not sure what she is, maybe some Greyhound, or Jack Russell. Please help!!

Lab/Shepherd? I don't see it! I'm also pretty sure there's no Jack Russell there either because they're much smaller. Greyhound is pretty prominent and I would guess she's mixed with some type of Bulldog, maybe Boxer. She's very pretty and looks well cared for.
