» mustluvdogs - Help Identify Brandee's breed

Brandee is a shelter adopted dog. When we got her we were told she was a golden mix. Long time golden owners we are not so sure anymore. What do you think. She is small stature, weighing about 50 lbs, slow dainty eater, runs like the wind actually like a rabbit.

Unless a dog's background is known, shelter workers just do the best they can to identify the breeds. This is by no means accurate. However your dog could have Golden in her as well as other breeds that have influenced her characteristics. If you post a link to pictures, I would be happy to give my opinion of her heritage.

» mad_sjd - What breed is my dog?

Me and my husband rescued what we assumed was just a long haired chihuahua. The original owners where never found and we ended up keeping him for 4 years before he died last month. I have searched
and searched but been unable to find a dog his color even. He was solid silver except for white on his belly and feet. Also he did not have quite as smushy face bug eye look I keep seeing in all the other dogs. I have pictures posted at walmart under "jack" or "mike and sarah"

I'm not sure how to find those pictures but from your description your dog could possibly have been a Yorkshire terrier. Did he look something like the dog in the following link? http://www.akc.org/breeds/yorkshire_terr...
