Worms are usually easy to treat, unless it's heartworms, then they're a little more serious, but they're treatable too. Have you taken him to a vet? If you can post a link to pictures I will do my best to help you identify his breed.

Yes, Bear was vetted and treated before we adopted him from the Humane Society.A picture of Little Bear is in my profile, wasn't sure how to post a picture of him

Isn't it sad the reasons that people give up dogs? Worms are easy to treat. I couldn't tell much from the picture in your profile but of the three breeds you mentioned, I would say Weimaraner. He's a cute puppy.

He's a well behaved pup and it's sad the previous owner gave him up for such a rediculous reason. They don't know what they're missing out on.
I thought he was Weirmaraner as well, but he doesn't have the 1/2 tail like most weirmaraners do.

Weimaraner tails are docked that way and maybe his was just never docked. He also may not be purebred. But tail or no, purebred or not, it's obvious you love each other very much and that's what really counts.
